Diego Simeone: 'Without doubt, Messi is better than Maradona'

Lionel Messi has always been compared to Diego Maradona - as both have been La Albiceleste's leaders of their respective generations.

Thus Diego Simeone, who actually played alongside El Pibe de Oro, has shared thoughts on the legendary Argentines speaking to Onda Cero:

"Diego filled us with emotions. But between the cracks, without doubt, Messi is better than Maradona."

Meanwhile, Leo will have another opportunity to finally lift a major trophy with Argentina as the new edition of the Copa America starts on June 14 in Brazil.

Earlier, Messi himself pointed out that La Albiceleste were not favourites for the Copa America trophy like it had been in some of the previous editions of the tournament.
