Barcelona are about to finalize Andre Gomes' move to Everton, according to Diario Sport. The Portuguese has made it clear that he only wants to join the Merseyside club which kind of limited Barcelona options.
The Catalans want to get at least 30 million euros from the transfer while Everton are pushing to lower the price, although even if they manage to do so the figure wouldn't be much lower. Other sides have also contacted Barcelona about the midfielder but Gomes is adamant in his decision to join the Toffees.
The 25-year-old’s agent recently travelled to Barcelona, which has accelerated the transfer dealings between the two sides.
Gomes spent the 2018/19 campaign at Everton. And Marco Silva is said to be keen on the 25-year-old signing. The Portuguese took part in 27 games in English top flight last season (1.986 minutes).
Tottenham and West Ham had also been linked with the Barca flop but as things stand now the alleged move is unlikely to happen.
Gomes signed for Barca from Valencia in a €37m deal in 2016. Since then he managed only 3 goals and 4 assists in 78 appearances with the Catalans.
