Ex-Barca goalkeeper Rustu Recber reportedly released from hospital after suffering from coronavirus

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Rustu Recber has been discharged from hospital after recovering from the coronavirus, CNN report.

The 46-year-old was reportedly hospitalised in critical condition after testing positive for the novel disease on March 29. His wife has earlier told Rustu 'had a fever for days and hours' and faced 'symptoms he hasn't every experienced'.

The coronavirus has struck many notable figures in the world of football within the past few weeks. Paulo Dybala, Daniele Rugani, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Mikel Arteta have all recovered from the virus.

The Turkish shot-stopper played just 7 games for the Catalans in the 2003/04 season, yet he was closing the gap of a back-up goalkeeper.
