Koeman set to polish his team's tactics despite rather short pre-season

"I know there is a change in the system compared to previous years, but the players can play like this because there are good midfielders to bring danger to the opposition's box," Ronald Koeman has said after Barcelona's friendly against Gimnastic Tarragona.

"We only have a four-week preseason, not six, as usual. Now physical work is important, but in the next two weeks we have to work on the tactical aspect more."

Koeman has implemented his favourite 4-2-3-1 formation, as we saw in the match against Nastic. It was the first match with the new set-up, and the team looked confident, although there have been a few defensive mistakes.

Barca have won the match 3-1 thanks to goals from Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann and Philippe Coutinho.
