- 4 former Barcelona B players have taken the Catalan club to the players’ union for not paying them for reaching the promotional playoff last season, Mundo Deportivo reveal.
- These players are Kike Saverio, Chumi, Sergi Puig and Guillem Jaime.
- They demand €10,000 to be paid to each member of the reserve team.
- Barcelona insist the contracts stipulate these 4 players are not entitled to the bonus because they didn't actually play in the playoff fixtures.
- All four of them left on June 30, before Barca B started their quest to qualify for the Segunda on July 19.
- However, injured Alex Collado, Ferran Sarsanedas and Hiroki Abe didn't play in the playoff either but received the payment regardless.
- As a reminder, Barca B failed to reach Segunda following the disappointing narrow defeat to Sabadell in the playoff final.
