This man's points are really awkward!
It all started when the Guardian reader JohnStamos stated that no other player is actually better than Cristiano Ronaldo right now.
💭 "CR7 is by far the best player in the world, I have not even one second of doubt about it. (It's been now 10 games since Messi last scored a goal from an open play against 11 men...). And the rest is noise... "
A user nicknamed InvertedFullBacks tried to explain to him that the Portuguese is not even the best striker in the world...
"He's a machine. His legacy will be immense, and ultimately he will be in the GOAT conversation. Don't let the current form of Messi dictate where his status is currently though."
... but John went on to say something crazy as he claimed that Leo Messi is a centre-forward!
💭"My friend, CR7 is not a centre forward. That discussion I'll leave it between Lewandowski, Müller and Messi. Although Messi is currently almost being used as defence in Barcelona... Trying to make him useful to the team.
"CR7 is the best player in the world who, well into his career, though it would maybe be fun to start scoring some goals... He scored them in the PL, in La Liga, in Serie A, best scorer ever in the CL, hat-tricks against Spain at 34 in the WC. Astonishing. But he was never a goal scorer."
Thankfully, InvertedFullBacks said it all in his next comment.
💭 "CR7 had been a centre forward for the best part of 2 years for both Portugal and Juve. Pirlo has started playing him from the left again, but to say he's not a centre forward is to ignore football.
"Muller and Messi haven't been used as centre forwards in the last 2 years. I'm unsure of why you said that it makes me feel like you don't watch football.
"Ronaldo is an all-time great player. He isn't currently one of the best. World-class, but not the best."
