What happened to Jeffren, the man who hit the last nail in Real Madrid's coffin in 2010

Champions League winner, three-time La Liga holder, two-time European Champion with Spain's youth sides.

One might think of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, or at least of David Villa when stumbling upon such profile, but the talk is about Jeffren Suarez – the attacking midfielder who actually was among Barca's scorers in the famous 5-0 Clasico.

The La Masia talent was deemed to have a bright future at Barca. He made his Barcelona debut in 2009 when the team was led by Pep Guardiola. However, there was a very strong competition at the time.

"You leave the biggest clubs in the world and see the reality of football. Barcelona is a bubble where you don't wish for anything, you have it all and when you leave, everything changes," the Spaniard told MARCA in 2018.

So, what's the reality Jeffren has faced after leaving Barca?

2011: Signs for Sporting Lisbon. Spends 3 years in Portugal, scores just 5 goals.

2014: Joins Real Valladolid. Spends one season in Spain but scores just 3 goals and records 3 assists.

2015: Leaves Valladolid for Belgium's KAS Eupen. 5 goals, 2 assists in 49 games.

2017: Jeffren's journey continues in Switzerland where he signs for Grasshoppers. 7 goals, 6 assists in a single season. Not too bad.

2019: Travels to Cyprus to join AEK Larnaca. No goal contributions in 14 games this time.

Also 2019: Out of contract, plays no football for almost a year.

2020: Signs for struggling Croatian side Slaven Belupo. One goal, 2 assists in 21 games so far.

6 countries, 8 different teams (including Barca B), no real success. Jeffren's best memory remains the goal he scored at packed Camp Nou after coming on as a sub. Anyway, he was part of our best history bits.
