Ilaix Moriba will not renew at Barca if they sign Wijnaldum (reliability: 3 stars)

Ilaix Moriba is unlikely to renew his Barca deal if the Blaugrana complete the signing of Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool this summer, El Curubito say.

Moriba still doesn't have a professional contract with Barca but is tied to Barca B until June 2022. However, it is widely believed that Barca will offer him a major deal in the summer if he continues to progress with the first team.

Marquee signings in midfield such as Wijnaldum will probably curtail Moriba's involvement in the first team, unless Ronald Koeman has other plans for the youngster.

Moriba has been a revelation for Barca this season. The 18-year-old has marked his introduction to the senior team with a goal and 3 assists.
