Barca ready to spend €50m on Bryan Gil before Sevilla renews his contract (reliability: 3 stars)

Bryan Gil's brilliance for Spain during the international break has awakened Barca's interest in the player, per Sports Witness.

The left-footed midfielder/forward was loaned by Sevilla to Eibar for €9m and has seen his market value rise rapidly this season. Sevilla now plan to renew his contract.

However, Barca intends to sign the player before he puts pen to paper for Sevilla.

Gil's buyout clause is set around €50m and it is believed that the Blaugrana will move for the player this year, regardless.

Sevilla intends to hike his buyout clause to €100m after extending his current deal to 2025.

Gil has scored 3 goals in 21 La Liga games for Eibar this season.

Koeman doesn't see Aguero as 'priority target' (reliability: 4 stars)

Sergio Aguero will be available on a free transfer in June and Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the striker.

However, according to Marca, manager Ronald Koeman doesn't consider Aguero to be a 'priority target' for the club.

French news outlet FootMercato further add that Paris Saint-Germain are taking advantage of Koeman's hesitation to move 'into poll position' to sign the Manchester City star.

We must mention that FootMercato isn't as reliable a source of transfer information as Marca.

According to an earlier report by Diario Sport, Koeman prefers Memphis Depay over Aguero.

Meeting between Raiola, Haaland's father and Laporta has been 'positive': Fabrizio Romano

Reliable transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that the meeting between Mino Raiola, Erling Haaland’s father and Joan Laporta 'has been positive'.

The meeting was simply to discuss the club's plans for the future - the 'new Barcelona project'.

There is nothing 'done or advanced' in the bid to sign Haaland yet as many clubs are involved in the race to get his signature.

However, Barcelona 'are in', Romano adds - presumably, that means that the club are very interested in signing the Dortmund forward and will do what they can to get him.
