Who are the 'Pessi' community that always make fun of Messi? You asked – we answered

You may see people on social media wondering what 'Pessi' means – here's one of the recent tweets we've found.

"Please explain what Pessi even means 😭"

Let us explain the whole thing.

'Pessi' is the word combination of 'penalty' and 'Messi' that was initially created to troll Leo for his missed penalties.

People who have come up with this sometimes use the image profile with bald Messi.

However, this doesn't mean these trolls do it in an abusive way. This is like their way of life – they come to Twitter just to post something about 'Pessi' and troll each other.

They sometimes organise 'digital raids' and attack celebrities' accounts with 'Pessi' tweets.

They often do it for good: for example, they once 'attacked' football journalist Pierre Menes after the latter was called out for the way he treated women.

It's interesting that most 'Pessis' live in France; however, people create plenty of accounts all over the world just to be part of the 'Pessi' team.

Barca 'to make Moriba key first-team player' instead of signing Wijnaldum

Barcelona are keen on turning Ilaix Moriba into a regular starter next season, according to Sky Sports.

The Catalans are not in favour of signing Georginio Wijnaldum despite the latter's free-agent status, the source adds.

Earlier, it was claimed by various sources that both the club and Ronald Koeman believe that Moriba has the needed physical features of Wijnaldum.

Under Koeman, Gini Wijnaldum netted 10 goals for the national team.

Moriba has made 8 appearances for Barca this term, scoring 1 goal and assisting three times.

Messi way ahead of everyone else in 20/21 Champions League shot-creating actions

Leo Messi leads the way in the number of shot-creating actions recorded in the 2020/21 Champions League.

What does a shot-creating action mean? This is an offensive action directly leading to a shot, such as passes, dribbles, drawing fouls, etc.

What's really special about this stat is that Leo Messi didn't play two group stage fixtures: against Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros. For sure, if he had played them too, his numbers would've even been more outstanding.
