Barcelona have tabled a deal with a reduced salary package for Ousmane Dembele, according to Radio Marca's Luis Rojo.
Due to the financial constraints facing the club, Barca will sell Dembele if he refuses to put pen to paper.
Secondly, if Dembele refuses to sign an extension or be sold, the club will freeze him out of first-team football next season, as per the source.
Dembele's contract saga has lingered throughout the current campaign with his current deal set to run out in the summer of 2022.
The French striker has managed to stay fit this season, bagging 11 goals and 5 assists in all competition.
However, the 23-year-old spent the majority of his time at Barca lying on the treatment and that explains why Barca are offering him less money.

Joan Laporta sent his second in command Rafael Yuste to the home of Ousmane Dembele to confirm the club's intention of renewing his contract, Cadena SER say.
The Barca president took the step to settle the player after reports emerged in the Spanish media that Barcelona will be willing to listen to offers for Dembele in the summer.
Laporta has made no secret of his admiration of Dembele and wants the club to keep the player.
Dembele's contract expires in the summer of 2022.
