Revealed: How much money could Barca save in wages by selling fringes this summer

Earlier this week, Barcelona players' current wages were leaked on the web. As things stand now, the Catalans have a wage bill of €276,675,776m per year.

It's no surprise that Lionel Messi is the Blaugrana's highest earned with a fixed yearly salary of €60,320,000m.

On the other hand, the presence of Pjanic and Coutinho in the top five puts the pair's futures at Camp Nou in doubt amid the club's dire financial situation.

Let's find out how much money Barca could save in wages only by selling some of their out-of-favour players.

€24,489,920m per year x contract until 2023 = €48,979,840m

€16,346,720m per year x contract until 2024 = €49,040,160m

€12,787,840m per year x contract until 2023 = €25,575,680m

€10,616,320m per year x contract until 2022 = €10,616,320m

€6,333,600m per year x contract until 2024 = €19,000,800m

€6,333,600m per year x contract until 2024 = €19,000,800m

€6,333,600m per year x contract until 2023 = €12,667,200m

€603,200 per year x contract until 2025 = €2,412,800m

Therefore, the Catalans could add €187,293,600m to the club's budget by selling nine players in the following months who have hardly played for Barca in the 2020/21 campaign and apparently are not in Ronald Koeman's plans for next season.

Pjanic: 'This season leaves me questions that still need answers'

"I'm honoured and I respect the [Barca] shirt. This is what Barcelona deserve and this is what I did with my teammates since day one," Miralem Pjanic writes via Instagram.

"This season gives me a bitter taste and questions that are still looking for answers. Hug to all Cules, see you soon," the Bosnian adds.

Despite leaving Juventus for Barcelona for a staggering €60m last year, the midfielder has been an out-of-favour player under Ronald Koeman. The 31-year-old accumulated 1,295 minutes of play – 15 Barca players had more game time this season.

Earlier, Pjanic said that he couldn't understand why he was not given enough chances at Barca.
