Messi may be without a club for some time: explained
Leo Messi's current Barca deal runs until July 1, 2021.
Although there's no news regarding the Argentine's contract extension, the club expect Messi to accept the latest offer soon, as per Mundo Deportivo.
Barca will possibly announce the news after Argentina's Copa America campaign finishes. The tournament begins June 11 but the play-off stage starts only July 3 – Messi's deal will expire by that date.
Thus, it's quite possible that Leo will technically be without a club for some time until he finally comes back to Barca and signs a new deal.
The 33-year-old will sign a 2-year contract with Blaugrana, as reported by multiple sources.
