Barca Femeni star could become 'the most expensive female player in the world' – for less than €1m

Women's Olympique Lyonnais side have made an offer of €500k for Barca Femeni midfielder Aitana Bonmati.

If Blaugrana accept the offer, she will become the most expensive female player in the world, even though the transfer fee doesn't seem to be huge at all.

Currently, the most expensive female footballer is Denmark's Penille Harder who joined Chelsea from Wolfsburg for about €300k in 2020.

Bonmati has been part of Barcelona since 2012, scoring 14 goals in 53 appearances for the first team.

Barca Femeni star Losada leaves club for 4th time despite captaining Blaugrana to treble

Barcelona Femeni captain Vicky Losada is going to leave the club for the 4th time in her career, this time due to the lack of game time, as per El Mon.

The 30-year-old captained her side to treble this season.

"In December, I told the club that I was not comfortable and that I did not feel valued by the coach. Lluis [Cortes, Barca Femeni boss] never came to talk to me about it and I decided to look after myself and leave Barca," Losada has told the media.

"I will always have Barca in my heart but I am at a very good level and I can't continue like this," she added.

The player is reportedly expected to join Manchester City soon.

Losada left Barca three times before: in 2007 when she left La Masia for Espanyol, in 2014 when she went to play in the United States and in 2015 when she left for Arsenal.

Barca Femeni complete treble after winning Copa de la Reina

Barcelona Femeni have beaten Levante Women 4-2 in the final of the 2020/21 Copa de la Reina thanks to goals from Patricia Guijarro, Alexia Putellas (x2), and Marta Torrejon. Lieke Martens, meanwhile, provided three assists.

This becomes Femeni's third trophy of the season, thus completing the treble. They previously won the Liga Iberdrola and Women's Champions League this term.

Barcelona have officially become the first club to have won a treble with both the men's and women's team. As a reminder, the men's team won two trebles, in 2009 with Pep Guardiola and 2015 with Luis Enrique.
