Barcelona consider that the €35m price tag Atalanta have slapped on Robin Gosens is too expensive, thus making his transfer not viable, German outlet Sport1 report. Blaugrana are also not sure whether the Italians would agree to a swap deal, Catalunya Radio add.

The Catalans reportedly considered the 26-year-old as an option to reinforce the left-back position. However, they might have to switch their attention to other players, with Jose Gaya and La Masia graduate Alejandro Grimaldo previously named as potential targets.

As for Gosens, he said that he could be open to a big move this summer. Besides Barca, the Germany international has attracted interest from Bundesliga clubs, namely Borussia Dortmund.

In the 2020/21 season, the Atalanta left-back recorded an impressive 12 goals and eight assists in 44 matches across all competitions. Gosens also pulled off a goal and an assist in Germany's recent 4-2 win against Portugal at the 2020 Euros.
