Barcelona approached Jordi Cruyff about his availability to take over the dangling reins from Ronald Koeman, according to Diario Sport.
The son of the legendary Johan Cryuff wasted no time in giving his reply. It was a resounding 'no'.
As per quotes from an interview Cruyff had with Marca, the former Shenzhen FC gaffer said: “Not in my head, nor that of Barcelona’s is the idea of replacing Koeman. It would seem very ugly to me, I have principles.”
Cruyff currently serves Barca in the capacity of football advisor.
Apparently, the Dutchman has ruled himself out of the running to assume the huge responsibility of being the head coach at Barca.
However, the Blaugrana are spoiled for options if they decide to axe Koeman. There's Xavi and Erik ten Hag. Someone like Antonio Conte is also jobless currently.
