OFFICIAL: Barca confirm Xavi appointment

It's official, Barcelona have confirmed the arrival of Xavi. The 41-year-old signs a contract with the Catalans until 2024 and will be presented on Monday, November 8.

He returns to the club after almost six years.

As per previous reports, Xavi joins together with his staff from Al Sadd. The coach paid half of his €5m release clause.

Xavi's first game in charge at Barcelona will be the Catalan derby against Espanyol on November 20.
