Revealed: 2 managers who turned down Barca job out of respect for Koeman

Barcelona approached Alfred Schreuder and Henrik Larsson with the opportunity to lead the team as interim manager in the aftermath of Ronald Koeman sacking, as per CAT Radio.

However, both coaches turned down the offer by Joan Laporta out of respect for Koeman.

The club then opted for Barcelona B manager Sergi Barjuan who managed the team for three games before Xavi took over.

Schreuder and Larsson had worked with Koeman prior to the Dutchman being fired after a string of poor results.
