Frenkie de Jong subbed off 'due to ankle discomfort', Van Gaal provides update

Frenkie de Jong was replaced in the Montenegro clash due to ankle discomfort, Louis van Gaal has confirmed.

The Dutch boss also said that there is a big chance that the midfielder will play on Tuesday. The Netherlands will take on Norway at home.

Earlier, it was reported that the 24-year-old had played a few Barca games through an injury.

The Netherlands are yet to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. On Saturday, they bottled a 2-0 lead to drop points against Montenegro.
