According to Diario Sport, Manchester City are ready to negotiate the departure of Ferran Torres but will ask for €80m in return for the youngster.
Barcelona, due to their current financial struggles, aren't sure they will be able to raise more than €50m for the potential transfer. For now, the Catalans will work on bringing down the Citizens' asking price.
What's more, Barca might have to offer players in a swap deal. However, that option is not currently considered at the moment.
The aim is to close the transfer in January, preferably on loan with a buy option. Due to the mentioned difficulties, though, Ferran's possible arrival could be delayed until the summer.
This term so far, the 21-year-old has played seven games for Man City, scoring three goals and providing an assist. He's missed a month of action due to injury.
