'That's a tactical action': Xavi explains why Memphis goal wasn't down to pure luck

"The second goal is a tactical action, which we worked on during training," Xavi said in regards to Memphis Depay's goal against Villarreal.

"We're working to improve our attack with more runs behind the defence. These are things that we work on in training, we saw that in Memphis' goal."

Even Xavi has labelled Barcelona's win against Villarreal as a lucky one, but that's perhaps because the home side had many opportunities to score themselves and not because the Catalans did not create enough.

So far, Barca have scored four goals in three matches under the new coach, which is not up to the usual Blaugrana standard. However, it should be mentioned that the club is missing several forwards through injury.
