'I can't ask more of him': Xavi defends Gavi after Granada red card

"There is a referee who decides, and I cannot enter myself into the refereeing controversy. Gavi's red card shows his lack of experience. But it is gained over time, and I cannot ask more of Gavi," Xavi said after the Granada draw.

"He is a player who gives us a lot, and the expulsion affected us. These are the kind of matches where you can tell that the lack of experience is affecting us. But we have to move on."

Gavi got sent off in the 80th minute against Granada after seeing a second yellow, with Barcelona leading 1-0. Down to 10 men, the Catalans crumbled under the pressure and conceded a late goal, missing out on the full three points.
