Antony also plays a huge role in generating chances at Ajax. Over the last two seasons, the Brazilian has provided 15 assists.

He averages 1.4 key passes and 0.4 successful crosses per game. Dembele is better in this department (1.7 and 1.8 respectively), but we have to note that, normally, 

 is the one leading Ajax's attack and not Antony.

The 21-year-old is valued at €35m by Transfermarkt, and he has a contract until 2025. It's clear that Barca would have to pay above that, but with the money saved on Dembele's salary and some potential sales, it shouldn't be a problem rising that money. 

And the Brazilian is unlikely to request the same

Who braught in Pedri and Araujo? He did so your comment make no sense at all. Both of them came to Barca before he were fired. Abidal got saced mid August 2020 and Pedri joined July 2020.

He is a young player.
Just because hes good enough for Barca now dont meen he was back then. Players develop differently. Messi, Gavi,  Fati and CR7 all at a high level at a young age. Some reach their highest level when they get a bit older. The thing though is to keep that high level. Especially for the youngsters it can become a problem. So dont say Abidal made an error because of it. Remember that Barca sold Traore because he wasnt good enough back then but after his years in Wolverhampton he matured and grown into the player he now is. Even Pique left for 2 years playing in Manchester United because he wasnt at the level needed in Barca. Its just how it is. Some reach their peak early in their careers some later on.

Speaking of Ajax, just watched Ajax at Benfica and mazraoui was absolutely outstanding today! He flowed perfectly up and down the pitch. On one end he is giving an assist for the opening goal and very nearly had a goal additionally, and then on the other side, he is putting in goal saving tackles inside the box! He wasn’t the man of the match but he certainly was up there and very important for Ajax. I really hope we can bring him in on a free because it would create much needed competition at RB and would be a win win for us and both players I think. And if Antony could catch the same plane with him coming to Barcelona would be great! He is so good offensively but he was getting back defensively too and was vital today as well! Both would be absolutely amazing for us
