The Balugrana have been in talks with Araujo for some weeks in a move to extend his current contract. 

However, no agreement has been reached, with Barca's salary offer reportedly below the defender's demands.

Araujo's contract ends in the summer of 2023, and it looks like the player may leave if Barca doesn't offer him a bigger payday.

If you watch this guy (ARAUJO)  closely you will notice he's not barca type if defender because his passing is not good. He only have strength and physique.   His positioning sometimes are not ok to be a barca central defender.
