There is actually a bond between Quique Setien and Pablo Torre.
"Pablo Torre is the son of Esteban Torre, one of Quique Setien's close friends… I'm sure he had something to do with the fact that the player has chosen to sign for Barcelona," former Barca assistant coach Eder Sarabia has told RAC1.
There is even a pic of 5-year-old Torre kicking ball with his father and Quique.
Now, rumour has it Setien shows the 19-year-old videos from Barca matches to help him understand how the Catalans play.
Well, this is nice to hear. Quique didn't leave Barcelona in the best way but still works for the good of the club and their future player.
Barca signed Torre for €5m. The plan is to send him to Barca B team for the first season, although he will do the pre-season with the seniors.
In the 2021/22 season, the midfielder recorded 10 goals and 11 assists in 34 matches for Racing Santander.
