Unnamed club asks to sign Samuel Umtiti on trial -- Barca's response revealed

Barcelona have received an offer from an unnamed club to sign Samuel Umtiti on trial for some months before deciding whether to sign him fully or not, Sport says.

The Blaugrana immediately rejected the offer, which to be fair sounds insulting to both the club and player.

Rennes showed interest in signing the World Cup winner on loan last week, but they pulled out of the race after concluding that the defender's physical condition was quite low.

Umtiti is expected to return to full training with Barcelona this week, but it's clear that Xavi doesn't count on him. Barca will sell or loan him to any serious club.
