Barcelona have signed 5 players this summer, Ousmane Dembele aside – and could soon add 3 more names to this list.
Here we are ranking Barca's potential transfers and completed moves from worst to best.
Worst
Marcos Alonso
The 31-year-old would provide much needed squad depth in the left-back position. However, this is just a short-term solution as we expect Barca to sign a more quality defender in a year or two.
Andreas Christensen
The Dane had a poor 2021/22 campaign with Chelsea and doesn't seem to be good enough to become first-team material. We hope Xavi re-discovers his potential this season.
Highly-promising
Pablo Torre
The 19-year-old joined the club after a fruitful season for Racing Santander where he registered 20+ goal contributions. He is already shining brightly in the preseason.
Good
Franck Kessie
The Ivorian possesses much quality as an attacking midfielder in Barca's first pre-season games. He is yet to establish himself as a top player since this is the first time he plays at this level.
Raphinha
The winger was one of Leeds United's key players in the past few years but it's time for him to take things to the next level. The quality is there – but could he keep it up during the whole season?
Cesar Azpilicueta
This is the experience we need to have at the back. Azpilicueta is a born fighter who is also quite versatile on the pitch – even at 32, he could be an important asset for us.
World-class
Robert Lewandowski
Probably La Liga's biggest star alongside Karim Benzema from now on. We can't wait to see the 33-year-old in action, banging those goals in numbers.
Jules Kounde
Already at 23, the Frenchman is one of the best centre-backs in the world. Technically and physically gifted, Kounde is also a very pacy defender who would feel comfortable playing as a right-back.
