Barca reportedly identify Dest replacement in MLS - he plays with Puig

Barcelona seem determined to sign a right-back before the end of the transfer window, especially now with Sergino Dest expected to leave.

According to Fabrizio Romano (5 stars), the Catalans have Julian Araujo from Los Angeles Galaxy on the radar.

Gerard Romero (5 stars) confirms the report, adding that the 21-year-old could be registered to Barca Atletic. This would be beneficial for the club's finances.

Born in the USA, Araujo represents Mexico on the international stage. He is valued at €5m and has a contract until 2025.

Last season, the full-back recorded three assists in 30 matches for LA Galaxy.
