Barca dressing room 'admire' De Jong for one reason - doesn't have to do with football

Reliable British outlet The Athletic report that the Barcelona dressing room 'admires' Frenkie de Jong for his stubbornness after what happened this summer.

The club pressured the Dutchman to leave, but he insisted on staying and came out victorious.

Barca had even reached an agreement with Manchester United for his transfer. The player, however, was not convinced by the move.

As an alternative, Frenkie was even offered to take a pay cut and continue. There has been no news on that front either.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old has started two out of the three matches this term on the bench, playing 144 minutes of the available 270.
