Puig matches record set by David Beckham, Donavan after MLS masterclass

Riqui Puig is loving life in the United States. The former Barcelona midfielder recorded 3 assists in one game against Colorado Rapids last weekend.

What it means is that Puig becomes the first player to record three assists in a game since legendary American striker Landon Donovan managed the feat in 2014.

What's more, Puig now has five assists in his first six games for LA Galaxy equalling an MLS record held by David Beckham since 2008.

Puig took the bold step to leave Barcelona and Spain in search of playing time across the seas in America. The move seems to be paying off as Puig's stock is gradually rising once again.
