Elche sit dead-last in La Liga with 4 points after 14 games and need to take radical measures if they want to avoid relegation. One such example would be sending Alex Collado back to Barcelona, Relevo's credible Toni Juanmarti (5 stars) reports.
Although not brilliant, Collado hasn't been bad either, recording a goal and an assist in eight games for Elche. The problem is in his high wages -- getting rid of the Barca loanee would allow the club to sign several new players in January.
Barca are aware of the 23-year-old's situation. The Catalans do not have a place in the squad for Alex and want to sell him, although a second loan isn't ruled out.
Elche would benefit in the case of Collado's permanent transfer too since they are entitled to 20% of his future fee if he is solid within the next two seasons.
