Barcelona allowed Ronald Araujo to be called up by Uruguay for the 2022 World Cup despite his injury. The Catalans' only request was that the centre-back doesn't play until he's back to full fitness.
However, Barca suspect that Uruguay are not complying with that request and are rushing Araujo's injury. In the latest presser, the national team's coach hinted that Ronald could play in the opener against South Korea.
The club has sent two physios to monitor the defender's recovery and they haven't given the green light yet.
Blaugrana believe that Uruguay are putting the 23-year-old's health at risk and 'consider' sending a formal complaint to FIFA against Uruguay if Araujo plays in the group stages.
As a reminder, the initial agreement was that Ronald would return to the pitch only in the knockout stages.
