Roberto's current deal with Barca expires at the end of the season.
As per prior reports, the Catalans want Roberto to continue at Camp Nou and act as the backup right-back as they cannot afford two players in his position next summer. Hector Bellerin, on the other hand, is predicted to leave.
This term so far, Sergi has recorded 2 goals and 2 assists in 12 matches for Barca. The Catalan missed the last five matches before the break due to injury but will be fully fit for the game against Espanyol on December 31.
