Barca could sign Bundesliga defender for free – he has one advantage over club's current centre-backs

According to German outlet Sport1 (4 stars), Barcelona are one of the clubs closely monitoring the situation of Eintracht Frankfurt's centre-back Evan Ndicka. The Catalans are interested in a free move in the summer when his contract expires.

Diario Sport's Lluis Miguelsanz (4 stars) claims that Barca's coaching staff like the 1,92m tall defender. Unlike the four centre-backs currently at the club, Ndicka is left-footed, meaning that he feels most comfortable in the left centre-back spot.

Marcos Alonso is also left-footed, but he is a converted centre-back who plays in the middle out of necessity.

After extension talks with Eintracht fell through, the 23-year-old is now free to enter negotiations with other clubs. Manchester United, Sevilla, Juventus, and AC Milan are also said to be interested.

This term so far, Evan has made 23 appearances for the Bundesliga club, playing full 90 minutes in all but one game.
