Barca 'prioritise' signing left-footed centre-back in June, main candidates named

Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet both left Barca on loan last summer. The pair is unlikely to continue at Camp Nou after their spells away from the club are over, which leaves Xavi with no left-footed center backs available.

According to a new Sport report, Barcelona will prioritize bringing in a left-footed centre-back in June. The two main candidates for the role are Evan Ndicka and Inigo Martinez.

They are both set to become free agents in summer, though the Frenchman is significantly younger (23) than the Spaniard (31).

Barca are said to have achieved a verbal deal with Ndika, but things can change, so a backup plan should be in place.
