On March 8, Paris Saint-Germain were eliminated from the Champions League after losing to Bayern Munich 2-0 away (3-0 on aggregate). Their first home game after that loss became this Sunday's encounter with Rennes.
There were reports before the match that the PSG fans at Parc des Princes planned to jeer Leo Messi, and, judging by videos from the stands, they carried through with the plan.
It seems like many fans blame Leo for their European failures this season. Kylian Mbappe, on the other hand, was mostly met with applause.
At the same time, PSG are trying to convince Messi to sign an extension. Leo's current deal expires at the end of the season and, judging by the delay, the Argentine isn't too eager to continue.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are interested in bringing Messi back to Camp Nou.
