Barcelona loaned out seven players this season: Sergino Dest, Clement Lenglet, Samuel Umtiti, Alex Collado, Nico Gonzalez, Abde Ezzalzouli and Francisco Trincao.
Out of the seven, only Abde is expected to stay at Camp Nou next season, Javi Miguel of Diario AS (4 stars) reports. The others, with the exception of Nico, are up for sale.
As for the young midfielder, the Barca staff likes his profile and believes that he could be useful in the near future. However, they assume that it is still too early for Nico to have a permanent role in the first team as he lacks experience.
Thus, Barca will look to send the 21-year-old on another loan and reevaluate his future in 2024. He has a contract until 2026 so there is no rush with him.
Nico has played 15 matches (7 starts) on loan for Valencia this term and has scored one goal. The 21-year-old missed a great portion of the season due to injury.
