Lewandowski surpasses one goalscoring record he set at Bayern with 5 games to spare

Robert Lewandowski registered 25 goals in 49 games during his first season at Bayern Munich - the season was 2014/15. It was considered a relatively successful debut season for the Polish striker in Bavaria. He was aged 27 at the time.

However, at 35, Lewandowski has managed to equal and even surpass his record in his debut season for Bayern. Lewy has already registered 29 goals in 41 games for Barcelona.

Lewandowski has achieved his record in eight games less than he did at Bayern Munich. He also has five games left with Barca to make this another 30+ goals season for him.

It must be noted that this is the first time Lewandowski is playing in Spain. Clearly, he has settled pretty well into his new environment and is taking the league by storm.

What's more, Lewandowski is on track to win the Pichichi as the league's best scorer. He currently has 19 league goals to his name, although Karim Benzema is hot on his heels with 17 goals.
