Xavi reportedly sends message to Barca board over Raphinha's future

According to Diario AS, Xavi has made it clear to the Barcelona board that he doesn’t want Raphinha sold in the summer.

The Spaniard is absolutely counting on the winger to be a key part of his team next season.

Xavi is actually very happy with Raphinha’s performances and has asked Joan Laporta not to put him up for sale.

The Blaugrana were reportedly contemplating selling the winger to reduce their wage bill and generate funds for the summer window.

However, they’re now unlikely to move forward with that because of how highly Xavi rates him.

Raphinha has had an eventful debut campaign at Barca, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists across all competitions.
