Messi 'would earn one euro more' at Barca than Lewandowski: explained

Leo Messi 'would earn one euro more' than Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona next season, reports Mundo Deportivo's Sergi Sole.

This way, the club would put the Argentine on top of the player hierarchy which is more of a symbolic gesture.

Barca, in turn, would have their income increased by 25 per cent thanks to Leo's comeback.

Lewandowski is currently second on the list of Barca's highest-paid players, only behind Frenkie de Jong. The Pole's annual net salary is €10m.

If Messi accepts Blaugrana's offer, his wage will be about three times less than at Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona are waiting for La Liga's official approval of their 'feasibility plan' to make a formal offer for the 35-year-old.
