'I appreciate him': Xavi rejects Neymar's 'offer'

Earlier it was reported that Neymar has offered himself to Barcelona in the hope of some sort of reunion with his former team. However, the Brazilian is nowhere near Xavi's plans for the coming season.

"Neymar? In theory, he's not in our sports planning, I appreciate him enormously as a person, but he's not a priority," Xavi told Jijantes FC.

Barcelona would have to spend more than €30m in transfer fees if they were to sign Neymar besides his salary, even if he agrees to reduce it.

The Brazilian is also in his 30s and has been known to be quite injury prone. Xavi may have a point.
