Ez Abde has been firing from all cylinders in the ongoing under-23 African Cup of Nations. Last week, the winger scored two goals in his first game for Morocco against Guinea.
However, Barca are worried that Abde's involvement in the tournament may slow his return to action for the club with preseason already on the horizon. Thus, Barcelona have messaged Abde to consider pulling out of the tournament, according to Sport.
The reason for this is that the under-23 AFCON is not really a major tournament. It's also possible that Abde may suffer an injury in the competition which may affect his sale this summer if a club wants him.
Abde will have the final say but it's almost impossible he pulls out of the tournament just to please Barca. It must be noted that the 21-year-old is the captain of the Morocco under-23 team.
