Bayern Munich midfielder offered to Barcelona, not Kimmich (reliability: 4 stars)

Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer has been offered to Barcelona, according to Sport.

Sabitzer has two years left on his contract and could join Barca for around €20m — his market value, per Transfermarkt. Or on loan.

The Austrian midfielder spent half of last season on loan at Manchester United where he played 18 games and scored three goals. But he never established himself as a first-team regular under Erik Ten Hag.

The 29-year-old is solid in terms of passing, tackling and winning the ball.

He has also shown to be superb in playing as a box-to-box midfielder, helping both attack and defence in equal measure.

Barcelona are said to be focusing on signing Marcelo Brozovic this summer, but Sabitzer provides another solid option.
