Girona 'annoyed' with Barca for contacting Romeu - not because they want to keep him

As Barcelona step up their pursuit of Oriol Romeu, the midfielder’s current club, Girona, feel 'annoyed' with their approach, Diario Sport claims.

Apparently, the Catalan side are not happy with Xavi contacting Romeu directly and not the club in the first place.

The report suggest that this might effect Barca's pursuit of the 31-year-old.

Romeu is still under contract at Montilivi until 2025, with a release clause of 10 million euros inserted in the deal.

Barca hoped to negotiate a lower fee for the player but Girona are not willing to do it now, as per the source.
