Interestingly, no. 23 was Dembele's first number in professional football as he broke into 

' first team in 2015/16. Since then, he had only worn no. 7 or no. 11.

The Frenchman has joined PSG from Barcelona for €50.4m. Barca will receive €35m. 

The 26-year-old scored 40 goals and provided 43 assists in 185 appearances for Blaugrana from 2017 to 2023.

Dembele sends farewell message to Barca fans — he wouldn't want to read their reply

A third said: "Don't ever come back thank you!"

Dembele joined PSG after activating a private clause that allowed him to terminate his contract if a club paid the fee.

The Blaugrana highlighted Dembele's poor injury record in their message for the Frenchman. 

Excerpts of Barca's farewell letter reads: "After a promising campaign, injury struck again and 

the French forward missed almost the entire season

 as coach saw Dembele recover his best form, scoring 11 goals and creating 21 assists in his two seasons under the current Barca boss." 

In total, Dembele missed 119 games for Barcelona through injury. Thus, the Frenchman was fully available for three and a half of the six seasons he spent at Barca.

Dembele's injury record was his biggest problem at Barca. But he seemed to get past it after Xavi took over as Barca's coach.

It’s a better more competitive league than La Liga and he’ll get injured  for Real bcos it’s the most physical league in Europe without a doubt but I wish him the best

Bro  the way Clubs dump players I totally agree with him putting  himself above anything

I'm not talking about his desire for improved wages or the necessity of putting his interest above anything else. His farewell at least was not very decent. 

I understand his desire to leave even though I'd have liked for him to stay.

I  think  if you look at the bigger picture here we’d  all see who’s really to blame.
The board  previous and present allowed his contract to run out without  trying to sell him with 18 months left .
If they had sold him then   along with Coutinho and Griezmann  we’d still have Messi but this is why I’ll  continually argue that Laporta purposely  kicked Leo out and now Dembele has done it his way

You don't force people to leave or sign a new contract if they don't want to unless there is a clause that has an automatic extension.

Dembele heart was never here, he always followed the money, that's why players like Mbappe are doing better, and I hope he gets what he wants and succeed. But people like him hardly do because no passion for the game, they always follow the money.

Even though Barca is in a financial crisis, we have a better footballing project than PSG. But I guess it's not about football, he has to look out for himself, better finances. He has mouth to feed too.

It was hard to sell Coutinho and Griezmann, but I think we made more money from Dembele that the 2 players you mention.

You complain that Barca let Dembele run his contract without trying to sell him and yet let Messi go, but u forgot Messi also ran out of his contract and didn't want to extend it at first till after the end of the season.

If you looking for who to blame for Messi’s exit, I think every party involved had their fault in it.

But you have a point though, even though I like this board, they have their flaws. 

I hope and I believe Barca will be great again, but it won't happen overnight.

Some of us need time to process his bullsh*t betrayal. He's taken much, and given little.  the club has been extremely supportive of and patient with him, and he's spit in the club - and the fans - faces.
