Barcelona & Man City reach Cancelo agreement (reliability: 4 stars)

Diario Sport reports that Barcelona and Man City have reached an 'agreement in principle' over a move for Joao Cancelo.

The Catalans will sign the 29-year-old on loan with an option to buy. The purchase option is not obligatory but will be triggered on certain conditions.

Blaugrana will have to pay 'slightly over €30m' for the right-back to sign him on a permanent deal if he either plays 70% or more games for Barca or if the Catalans reach the Champions League Round of 16.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem considering Cancelo's desire to join Barcelona. The deal between Barca and City is expected to be wrapped up in the next few hours.
