Why Luis Enrique is trending among Barca fans in a bad way

Luis Enrique is usually remembered with a good word by Barca fans.

This time is different, though.

The Paris Saint-Germain boss has refused to criticise the Spanish FA president, Luis Rubiales, after the latter forcefully kissed Spain's female player Jenni Hermoso (who used to play for Barca Femeni) at the World Cup final ceremony.

"Rubiales has done a fantastic job at the Spanish FA. He has admitted that he has made mistakes, so my opinion on the matter is not necessary," Luis Enrique has said at the latest presser.

💭 LewsTherin177 (Reddit): "Putting the L in Lucho."

💭 banana-is-apeeling (Reddit): "Disappointing."

💭 MarcusBrutus2000 (Reddit): "The most ballsy person I thought of just disappointed me in the worst way possible."

💭 chizel4shizzle (Reddit): "He coaches PSG. Did you really think this guy had any morals to begin with?"

💭 lstht123 (Reddit): "I'm so scared for Xavi's presser... Some bland non-statement is probably the most positive outcome."

Despite having apologised, Rubiales refused to resign and made it clear that he doesn't quite agree with the accusations. On Friday, he stated that the kiss was actually mutual.

Dozens of female players have already signed the letter calling for Rubiales to step aside and refusing to play for Spain's national team until things change. One male player, Borja Iglesias, has also decided not to represent the national team amid the recent events.
