Barcelona are working on signing Joao Felix on loan. Multiple sources claim that Barca have reached a pre-agreement with the Portuguese attacker.
However, for pro-Barca reporter Alfredo Martinez, the Blaugrana must take their hands away from Felix immediately.
He gives two reasons for this opinion:
1. Felix's disciplinary problems
"The current reality of the player, is that Joao Felix is a rebel at Atlético Madrid," Martinez says.
"He's someone who intends to leave and who has publicly declared his disagreement with the Rojiblancos coach. Felix is openly in conflict with his coach."
Felix was spotted disheartened on the bench while his team demolished Rayo Vallecano 7-0 at the weekend
2. Doing business with Atleti
"Secondly and also important, is how difficult it is to negotiate with Atletico Madrid," Martinez continues.
"Atleti will lift your shirt and you end up paying for their pleasure. The latest experiences in Barcelona's negotiations with the Colchoneros could not have turned out worse. And Barca have come out worse.
"In this situation, the player wants to leave and Atleti wants to get rid of him. Anything that is not very advantageous for Barcelona would not make sense.
"No matter how much friendship or favours are owed to Jorge Mendes, Barcelona must first look after its own interests," the reporter concludes.
