Leo Messi single-handedly wins game for Argentina with trademark free-kick goal v Ecuador

The Argentines kicked off their World Cup qualifying campaign against Ecuador in Buenos Aires this Friday.

It took La Albiceleste 78 minutes to find a winner - and it was Lionel Messi who had the final word in the clash.

After Argentina won a free kick from about 18 meters, Leo stepped up and curled the ball perfectly over the wall to make it 1-0.

It's his 65th career goal from a direct free kick. 50 of them were scored in the Blaugrana shirt.
