Do you remember Alen Halilovic?
The creative midfielder was part of Barcelona from 2014 to 2016. In his early days, he was tipped to become the new Luka Modric... or even Leo Messi.
Things have never really worked out for the Croatian – but at least he is honest about the whole situation.
"When I arrived there [at Barca], there was a plan. I had to play for Barcelona B in my first year to adapt.
"I played there and sometimes trained with the first team, but then I lost my patience. I wanted to play every match, that was my mistake."
Halilovic made 29 appearances for Barcelona B, having registered just 5 goal contributions. He then had a loan at Sporting Gijon where he didn't impress much either.
The midfielder was then part of 7 different clubs, including Milan. Now he plays for Eredivisie side Fortuna Sittard where he has scored one goal and provided one assist in 5 games this season.
